If you know the Vaal, youโll know it loves keeping us on our toes โ and itโs surprised us with another rise just days before the start of the holiday season!![]()

Our team are still working around the clock - from having to evacuate and move tents to higher ground and ensuring everything stayed safe yesterday and the day before, to clean-up operations today and beyond - this after the Barrage was suddenly set in free flow over the weekend.![]()

The water has now receded, and with a bit of grace from the weather, we hope to shift everything back to their usual spots this week. ![]()

The photos show our team in action, as well as the aftermath โ thankfully only a thin layer of mud in front of the units and on the riverfront campsites, which should be an easy clean-up by our team. ![]()

The riverbanks, however, are still soft and muddy while they recover, and might take a little longer to clean up properly.![]()
